    In celebration of her 20th debut anniversary, Canadian pop-rock queen Avril Lavigne releases the expanded edition of Let Go (20th Anniversary Edition). This album features numerous hit singles as well as Avril’s original version of Breakaway.


    “Extraordinary” would be an understatement for Avril Lavigne. She’s a punk rock girl with a powerful spirit, a wild, untamed soul. By the age of two, her vocal talents were already turning heads. She’s the small-town girl who couldn’t sit still in class but was filled with confidence and determination, venturing to New York and Los Angeles alone to hone her craft. At just 17, she was a rebellious youth determined to carve her own path. “I was just starting out, I wanted to be true to myself. I write what I feel and never care what others think,” Avril admits. “I dress how I want, act how I want, and sing how I want.”


    In her debut album Let Go, Avril fully embraces her authentic self. Her voice is electrifying, crystal clear, and her lyrics exude pure individuality. Tracks like Anything But Ordinary celebrate uniqueness, while her first single Complicated takes aim at the complications of love with sharp simplicity. Ballads like I’m with You showcase Avril’s softer side, and songs like Losing Grip and Unwanted bravely explore rejection and betrayal.     Avril Lavigne, the Canadian pop-rock queen, is a singer-songwriter and actress. She rose to fame in 2002 with her hit single Complicated, and her albums Let Go and The Best Damn Thing topped charts globally. In 2006, she was listed as one of the most influential Canadians in Hollywood by Canadian Business Magazine. She performed at the Vancouver Winter Olympics closing ceremony in 2010 and contributed the theme song Alice for Disney’s Alice in Wonderland. Avril’s energetic and optimistic spirit, coupled with her unique style, has made her a leading figure in the music world, admired by youth worldwide.


    After a hiatus, Avril made a comeback with Head Above Water in 2018 and released her sixth studio album of the same name in 2019.
