Zeng Yan - Wake 觉 (CD)

Wake is an immersive sound-film by Chinese artist Zeng Yan, blending new age and ambient composition with natural field recordings, ethereal electronics, and her distinctive “ecological language” vocals. The album features self-designed instruments, including water instruments, energy chimes, conch sounds, Kongjiqin, and energy water cups. Drawing on sounds and images gathered during years of travel through villages, deserts, rainforests, and other landscapes, the music explores nature, memory, and humanity’s connection with the living world. Official China CD edition.
